Frigga, as portrayed in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), is the Queen of Asgard and the wife of Odin. She is the adoptive mother of Thor and the biological mother of Loki.

Played by Rene Russo, Frigga is depicted as a powerful sorceress and a wise, compassionate figure who deeply cares for her sons. She possesses significant magical abilities, including illusions and protection spells.

Frigga first appeared in *Thor: The Dark World* (2013). Her maternal influence on both Thor and Loki shapes their actions and motivations throughout the MCU. She is eventually killed by Malekith in *Thor: The Dark World*, sacrificing herself to protect Jane Foster.
